Heardlist’s first built direction used a dark violet theme and a particle-canvas hero, about 7,600 points assembling spoken words on screen. Review found it read as generic AI-product styling rather than something Heardlist owned, and it carried real defects: the source timestamp ticked forward as if the recording were still playing, quietly contradicting the promise that a moment stays fixed, and one metadata list failed an accessibility check. Temporal Proof replaced it.
A spoken moment becomes verifiable work. One idea, held to exactly: the source timestamp is immutable everywhere it appears, the record is a real, keyboard-operable link back to the line it came from, and the visual system is warm ink-on-paper rather than a dark AI-product cliché.

Colour contrast computed directly, not estimated: ink on paper 13.46:1, secondary ink 6.43:1, copper 5.13:1, verdigris 6.81:1, focus ring 5.13:1, all above the WCAG AA thresholds they are used for.
Reduced motion: every animation, the entrance sequence and the source-return flash included, is wrapped in prefers-reduced-motion, and the page was run with that preference emulated. The record renders complete with nothing moving, and the source return still works.

This case study, and the whole AKINTADE site, is a static Astro build, self-hosted, with no server, database or CMS. Layout, type, colour and the marketing sections are native Astro and CSS. Framer remains the design and prototyping system the direction was authored in; the earlier Framer publish is kept as a visual reference, not the production host. One focused component carries the piece a static page cannot express on its own: the source-return behaviour above, moving real keyboard focus to the spoken line and announcing the return out loud for anyone using a screen reader, built here as the same DOM structure, styles and interaction as the original Framer code component, in plain HTML, CSS and TypeScript with no UI framework. The record above is that component running, not a picture of it.
Heardlist is self-initiated: there is no client, no launch, no users, and this page makes no claim otherwise. What exists is a resolved product concept with an ownable visual system, a working, keyboard-operable interaction, accessibility work with an independent re-audit behind it, and a documented production process from three explored directions to one.
